Cotton is
perceived as a pure, natural fibre. It has been used for years to provide
comfortable, gentle clothing which is breathable and gentle on the skin. It is
often seen as a natural, environmentally friendly choice. It is also used to
make towels, as its absorbent nature makes it perfect to use with the very
youngest of us.
Unfortunately,
the sad truth is that the planet is paying a very high price for the cotton
that we use. Cotton fibre accounts for 50% of global fibre requirements. The
majority of the plant, by weight, ends up in our food supply. It is however
regulated around the world, as a non-food crop.
Cotton is
the most toxic crop in the world: It accounts for 25% of the worlds
insecticides, and more than 10% of pesticides.
The choice
is clear; organic cotton provides us with all the benefits of a natural,
breathable, comfortable fabric to be used in clothing, towels and sheets.
Without the dangers that traditional cotton production gives our planet.
Organic cotton clothing for your baby is a great way to
ensure, you keep the most natural materials next to their skin. A baby's new
skin the most delicate it will ever be and can be prone to eczema and other
skin conditions. It can often be hard to know what choices to make when you've
just had the joy of a new baby in your life, keeping them warm and safe is
usually the top priority! Organic baby clothes made from organic cotton are the
softest, most natural clothes you can buy for your baby. After just one wash,
the untreated organic cotton clothing becomes the softest warmest fabric your
baby. All Things Green has a great range of organic baby clothes from a number
of organic cotton clothing suppliers.
All Things

baby clothes, organic
